Gary Shapiro

Gary Shapiro is a recovering development executive in the entertainment industry with over 25 years of experience. He currently creates and produces content under his own banner, Cadence Productions.

He has created presentation materials and bibles for Disney+, Warner Bros. Discovery, MGM, Skydance, USA, Paramount+ and many others.

Gary has worked with game companies like Asmodee and R&R Games to adapt popular board games for networks and studios like The CW and MGM. Notable projects include consulting on Disney+'s Best in Snow and creating TBS's Mind Over Matter. Shapiro is currently producing a paranormal podcast with Echoverse and a new, documentary series. Previously, he built and led Discovery Studios' West Coast content department, creating and overseeing successful series for Discovery and other major networks. Shapiro also served as VP of Alternative Programming for Fox Television Studios and worked at USA Network on projects like Nashville Star and UPN’s R U The Girl with T-Boz and Chili. Shapiro graduated from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University.
